Request a Quote for Casting, Repair, or CAD Work
Rocky Mountain Casting quotes trade work for jewelry stores, bench jewelers, and designers across the country, plus private customers who need a master jeweler. Tell Rob what you have and what you need back. He reviews every request himself, and you get a real quote from the person who will do the work, not a sales desk.
The form takes about three minutes. Photos and files help. If you would rather talk it through, call (435) 512-1019, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Mountain.
What to Include So Rob Can Quote It Right
- Casting: metal and karat, quantity, and what you are sending as the pattern (wax, resin print, CAD file, or master model). Say whether stones will be cast in place.
- Repairs: number of pieces, the metal, and what each piece needs. A photo of the damage under decent light saves a round of questions.
- CAD and 3D printing: a sketch, a photo of something similar, or your finished file. Tell us if you want the CAD only, a resin print, or a cast and finished piece.
- Stone setting: setting style, stone count and sizes, and whether you are supplying the stones.
- Plating and restoration: plating color and piece count, or the age of the piece and what is wrong with it.
- Your deadline. If the job is a rush, say so up front and Rob will tell you what is realistic.

Quote Questions
How quickly will I hear back?
Rob reviews quote requests personally during shop hours, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Mountain. You will hear back by email or phone with pricing and a turnaround estimate. Complex custom work, such as a multi piece CAD project or an estate restoration, may need a short call before a firm number goes out.
Do you quote private customers, or only the trade?
Both. Rocky Mountain Casting is a trade shop first, serving jewelry stores and bench jewelers at wholesale pricing. Private customers are welcome for custom design, casting, and repairs. Select “Private customer” on the form and Rob will quote accordingly.
How does trade pricing work?
Repair quotes for trade accounts start from Geller’s Blue Book and are discounted to wholesale, which leaves room for you to mark up to your customer at full retail. Casting, CAD, and setting are quoted per job based on metal, quantity, and complexity. Every quote is written, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
Can I send photos before I ship anything?
Yes, and you should. Attach up to five photos or files to the form and Rob can quote most repairs, settings, and castings from the images alone. Nothing ships until you have approved a written quote, so you are never guessing at cost before the piece leaves your shop.
Do you cast with stones in place?
Yes. Stone in place casting is a regular part of the shop’s work for the trade. Tell us the stone type and size on the form, since some stones tolerate the burnout and pour and others need to be set after casting. Rob will tell you which approach protects the stone and the finish.
What files do you accept for CAD and 3D printing?
Send STL or 3DM files for direct printing, or a sketch, photo, or PDF if the design still needs to be modeled. Files up to 20 MB each attach to the form. For anything larger, submit the form without the file and Rob will reply with a transfer link.
